A man with a beard, wearing a flat cap and black shirt, is seated at a pottery wheel, shaping a clay pot with a sculpting tool. He is indoors with plants and bulletin boards in the background.

Benny Baird

Hi! I’m a nonprofit leader, consultant, and lifelong believer in the power of connectedness. For more than two decades, I’ve supported organizations and community-based teams in strengthening their leadership, culture, and internal systems. My work is rooted in a simple truth: people do their best work when they feel seen, supported, and aligned.

I approach every partnership with curiosity, humility, and a deep respect for the lived experiences people bring into the room. I’ve spent my career helping leaders and teams uncover their own strengths, navigate complexity with confidence, and build systems that actually reflect their values. Whether I’m supporting leadership development, team culture work, operational redesign, or youth-focused programming, my goal is always the same: to help people feel more connected to each other and to the mission that brought them here in the first place.

My background in youth development has shaped the way I understand environments; how they influence belonging, motivation, and growth. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside educators, youth workers, nonprofit directors, policy advocates, and statewide networks, helping them align their practices, strengthen collaboration, and create cultures that honor both people and purpose.

Outside of consulting, I’m a ceramic artist who finds grounding in the slow, intentional rhythm of working with clay. I’m an avid outdoor enthusiast, happiest exploring the Pacific Northwest, backpacking, paddling, fly fishing, or birding. I love to cook, especially for friends and family, and being a dad to four really cool kids is one of the greatest joys of my life. I’m also a huge fan of public works!

At the heart of everything I do is the belief that we’re better when we understand how deeply connected we are and when we lead from that place, we create work that has the power to truly transform communities.
